Grade 6 Lightning Premiership
Grade 6 Lightning Premiership
On Friday the 13 June, the Grade 6 students competed in the Semester 1 Lightning Premiership against schools in the Narre Warren District. The sports that were played were; Soccer, AFL, Badminton and Netball. Soccer and Badminton were held at Narre Warren P-12 College, AFL at Hillsmeade Primary School and Netball at Tulliallan Primary School. The students spent the whole day playing matches against multiple schools and did a great job representing our school.
A big congratulations to the girls soccer team, led by the master coach Miss C, who guided the girls to a dominant victory by not conceding a single goal in any match. What an amazing effort! As a result of their success, the team will be moving onto competing in the Divisionals on 30 July at Casey Fields.
Thank you to the staff that volunteered and offered their time to coach the Grade 6 teams on the day, without them it would not be possible. It was a pleasure to also see some parents come out and support the students on the day. St Catherine’s would like to thank all these schools and coordinators for hosting and running each event.
